Michael AiuvalasitStaff GeoarcheologistMr. Aiuvalasit specializes in conducting investigations of the geological context, paleoenvironmental record, and site formation processes of archeological sites. Since 2001 Mr. Aiuvalasit has held a variety of positions for cultural resource firms, including lab director, staff archeologist, assistant lithic analyst, and field archeologist. He has authored both archeological and geoarcheological reports for cultural resource investigations in Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, and coauthored or presented papers on research conducted in Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, and New York. Currently he is completing the reports on geoarcheological studies at seven prehistoric data recovery investigations in upstate New York. He is listed in the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA), and is a member of the Society for American Archaeology (SAA), Geological Society of America (GSA), and other local societies. He has current HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry training. He received training at the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. |
